There is nothing like getting some fan mail in the mail. All of us need encouragement along the way in the journey of life. If you think caffeine is a good pick-me-up, think again. A well-timed phone call, letter, or email can do the trick for anyone. The right words at the right time can spur one on to keep fighting the good fight.

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Well, I received one of those emails recently. It encouraged me so much that I wanted it to encourage you with it as well:
“I recently purchased this book of yours for 90 cents. I’ve never wasted money like that in my life. Not only is your book uninteresting, completely stupid, and obviously written by a retard (you are the retard, retard), but it wasn’t even worth one f***ing cent. I’m going to purchase every copy I can and burn it. I will not stop until all the copies in existence are incinerated. Thank you for giving my life’s purpose, and f*** you for writing that lousy, ridiculous s****y book.

I don’t know if anyone has told Jeff that he has the gift of encouragement, but he obviously does! What a great email to refresh my soul!
There were other things in his email that I had to cut out because they were a little off color, but Jeff certainly has a way with the English language. I did respond to him―tried to be friendly and nice and see if we could answer any questions for him. He responded again with four or five more emails. This is the only one that is printable from that second batch:
“I really do hate you.”
Jeff is just a lost soul―a man who hates Jesus Christ. There are many of them out there. They riot and rage, and burn down places in cities all the time. Some are easier to spot than others, but they are out there. We must find them, and speak the truth to them in love.
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
There is no reason to be dismayed or discouraged. Stay focused on Jesus. Read and study His word. It will always give you the right “lift-me-up.”
Please say a prayer for Jeff. A Saul to Paul conversion would be fascinating to see!

P.P.S. Anyone remember the good ole days? What ever happened to them? It used to be kids playing altogether where their social interaction helped to mold and shape them. Today, it’s electronics that are molding and shaping them.
