What if life is much simpler than we make it out to be? What if all we are here for is one thing: to find out what happens when we die?
What if that is it? What if the whole of life is finding out who Jesus is, and that right there will answer all of our questions for this life and the life to come?
The other day, I was watching this video of the Korean airline crash, and it made me think.

As of right now, 179 of the passengers and crew have died. For those folks, did it matter if they graduated from college or what their GPA was? Did it matter if they owned their own business? Did it matter how many followers they had on social media? Did it matter if their favorite sports team won this weekend? Did it matter if they were rich or poor? Did it matter if they achieved all of their goals or attained all of their New Year’s resolutions?
Philippians 2:10
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Just in case you are wondering, every means “every.”
John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Maybe this life is much simpler than we make it out to be. We need to know Jesus and tell as many people as we can about Him.
I hope you have a very simple but profound 2025!
Until the nets are full,
P.S. This is Reg. I met him on Christmas Day. He is 20 years old and homeless. I picked up some food for him at Waffle House. We had a nice chat. When I drove past his spot at a closed-up Taco Bell, he was lying there reading the book I gave him. He was quoting things to me! Neat young man. Fun to talk to. Whether you have a home or don’t have a home, life is kind of simple. You just need to know Jesus.
