I received this email from Ray, who commented about our recent newsletter, “We Are Not a Serious People” (https://markcahill.org/we-are-not-a-serious-people/). I thought you might like to read what he had to say:
Hey, Mark:
Ray Thompson here. Just finished your newsletter, We Are Not a Serious People. I can’t begin to describe how disgusted I was when I watched those two videos of “supposed” pastors defiling the Word of God in their attempt to make some kind of point (what that point was, I know not because it certainly had nothing to do with serving our Risen Savior, or glorifying Jehovah God in any way, shape, or form). But as you and I both know, God warned us in His Word, that these days were coming when men would not endure sound doctrine and would give in to itching ears.
It makes me feel that much more blessed to be in a Bible-teaching and Bible-preaching church. But it was also a call for me to make sure that I represent Christ as a walking, talking “part” of the church (the body of believers) when I’m out in this lost world! And your newsletter and your personal examples of witnessing are a constant encouragement and blessing to me as I read them and apply the tools you teach to my own witnessing opportunities. Thanks again, brother, for all you do and for your diligence in keeping The Way and The Truth alive in these dark days when too many “so-called” Christians have disregarded The Word for just a word of entertainment and blasphemous nonsense!

You nailed it!!! I couldn’t even watch these videos. To think that millions of BIBLE believers gave their lives for the Word of God!!! I am ashamed.
Also, that we have how many translations?!?! And “Christians” just become more ignorant! Do we DARE ask if there’s any correlation??!! Nope. They just think that the KJV is too outdated!
I feel like I’m at the end of my rope. How does the Lord put up with this/us?!?!
I know you have the courage to stand strong, Mark! I hope I do, and I want to be faithful to Him and His Word!!!

Shouldn’t it be obvious that something is very, very wrong? It is more than obvious to Ray and Amy. Is it obvious to you? If it is, then it begs the question: What are you going to do about it?

P.S. A friend of the ministry was heading into the hospital for some serious treatments. He considers the trial he’s going through to be nothing less than an opportunity to serve the Lord:
Pray for me as I begin targeted radiation treatment for a spot of cancer on my head today. I am so grateful that my daughter asked me to go and get it checked out. It is the same thing my mom had that ultimately took her life, along with dementia and Alzheimer’s. God has got this. I am hoping HE gives me a chance to pray and share my faith with the radiation team and the doctor who will be there for the next twenty treatments that I have to do to kill the cancer cells. Rome was not built in a day, but, Mark, seeds need to be planted sooner rather than later so that the harvest can grow!
