John 1:1,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Psalm 19:8-11
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Psalm 138:1,2
I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Do we have any clue how seriously God takes His Word? I am not sure we do. Shouldn’t the Word be revered? Shouldn’t the God who gave us the Word be feared? Aren’t we supposed to uphold, magnify, and herald the Word throughout the earth?

We are not a serious people. This is embarrassing. The church is supposed to build up believers so they can be salt and light in this hopelessly failing world. And these kinds of antics are are not it. This behavior should not be happening in the church of God. But sadly, both of these churches are considered to be megachurches. Doesn’t sound anything like the beginnings of the church found in the book of Acts.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Study the Word of God intently so you can rightly divide it. Don’t kick it or pour syrup on it, and don’t support anyone who does.

P.S. Brian and Diane are out on the streets reaching the lost often. They were out at the beach giving out the gospel a few weekends ago. Praise the Lord! Pray for this young man, David. Where will you be witnessing and who will you be talking with this coming weekend?
