Eternity is rushing towards us.
You and everyone else must be ready.

Tribulation Summer

Jun 11, 2014

Ready for some fun this Summer?!

Matthew 13:21:

“Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.”

Is your fun going to be ruined if you have to endure tribulation because of the Word of God? How will that impact you?

So when we were handing out tracts outside the Lady Gaga concert, and the crowd became very vile and crude, should we have just walked away and called it a nig10ht? No. It just made me ponder how people could hate Jesus so much. It encouraged me to press on.

Matthew 24:21:

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

If the persecution and tribulation of today throws you off of your game, how would you handle it if you happen to be alive when great tribulation comes?

Matthew 24:29:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

You might think that the tribulation of today is tough, but there might be harder times right around the corner. God is in the business of getting everyone’s attention, and He will.

John 16:33:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

We can go through very tough times because of our stance for Jesus Christ. Remember, be of good cheer! Jesus has overcome the world, and He will overcome the tribulation in your life as well.

Acts 14:22:

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

Remember that we are not on a pleasure cruise on the way to heaven, but we are on a battleship at the gates of hell trying to prevent anyone from going there. Thank God when you have peace on all sides, but it should not be that way your whole life. When you are battling the forces of the enemy, tribulation goes with the territory.

Romans 5:3:

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;”

The tribulations that we go through will most definitely make us more fit disciples for the work of the Lord!

Romans 8:36-39:

“As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Isn’t it nice to know how much He loves us?! Keep that love in focus when the seemingly dark days enter your life.

2 Corinthians 1:4:

“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Did you ever think that maybe God is taking you through a situation so that He will be able to use you in someone else’s life down the road? You folks who have gone through tribulation and trials in this life know that to be a very true verse from Scripture!

2 Corinthians 7:4:

“Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.”

Be thankful, be thankful, be thankful as you go through tribulations! God is still God. He still sits on His throne. Prayer changes things. And He does not take days off!! Never forget that.

Revelation 7:14:

“And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

The only washing we will ever need is by the blood of the Lamb! That is it, and that is enough for here and for the other side as well.

Remember that tribulation is gone, over with, done with, and kaput on the other side. But not here!

I went to the park the other day where I read my Bible and exercise. I stopped my car to talk with a man and said, “I haven’t seen you in a while and wanted to say hello.”

“You are the guy that reads the Bible,” he said. And then he yelled an expletive at me!

“Stay away from me you bloody bastard.” He spoke again as I realized he wasn’t done with me yet!

What a sad man. A scientist. An older man. A guy who I had a nice talk with one day. A guy who hates Jesus. What a wasted life. Will he or won’t he repent and believe in the coming days?

It has been nice to pray for him once again. Tribulation isn’t all bad. Never forget that.

Hopefully you will have a lot of tribulation for the Lord this summer! Enjoy every minute of it!

Until the nets are full,

P.S. Thanks for ordering so many gospel tracts, and thanks for all of the nice comments on them! Keep handing them out in the days to come!
