Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt,
and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things?
for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things:
and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified,
and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
The Power of Words
Words are very powerful. God used them to speak creation into existence. We can use them to tear people down or build them up. We can use them to tell a lie or tell the truth. We can use them to glorify God or glorify ourselves. Words are very powerful.
Are your words directing people to Jesus? Are they directing people to the only source of truth, the Bible?
The Way of Salvation
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
I don’t know about you, but these verses seem pretty clear to me! Jesus is the ONLY way to get to God the Father and to Heaven. I was looking to see if Mary’s name was included in any of these verses, but I failed to find it there.
See, words matter. God’s words are very clear.
But, sadly, the Pope’s words are very clear as well. When he says that Mary is the road to the Father, that is called deception. That is called false teaching. That is called misleading hundreds of millions of Catholics straight to the pit of Hell, if they trust Mary for their salvation and not the true Jesus Christ of the Bible.
Coming to Visit
Interestingly, if you ever study the false apparitions of Mary, you will see that she is referred to at times as a redeemer, mediator, and advocate to the Father. But those terms are attributed to only One person in the Bible, and it is not Mary!
If you would like to watch a very interesting documentary about the apparitions of Mary, Messages from Heaven is a good one:
The True Savior
False teachings always lead to false conclusions. Roman Catholicism teaches that Mary was sinless. If that were a true statement, which it is not, then it would open the possibility that she could be the pathway for people to get to God the Father. But to be right with God, you must provide Him with a Perfect Blood Sacrifice for your sins, and she is not it!
Remember, the sacrifice that God accepts must be perfect, meaning, without sin. That disqualifies anyone born of Adam. The life is in the blood, and when the blood of a perfect sacrifice is applied to our sin debt, it washes all of our sins away. And, if God’s Word says there’s a death penalty for sin, then that death penalty must be paid. The catch is that all three must happen at the same time for it to be a Perfect Blood Sacrifice. There is no one sinless but God, and it is God the Son who provided the only Perfect Blood Sacrifice in existence.
Also, what did we just celebrate? The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Wow. The tomb is empty! He conquered the grave, so we will all conquer it as well!
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
But we must make sure we are born again, so we will conquer the grave to reside with Jesus for all of eternity.
Mary did not die on the cross for your sins. She did not rise from the dead three days later. Can’t wait to meet her, but she is not the pathway to God. She is not the Messiah. If she could come back, she would rebuke the teachings of the Catholic church and point people to Jesus and Jesus alone.
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Helping the Lost
The Pope is so lost―so very lost. Pray for him. Pray that he will read the Bible and God will give him that “aha” moment when he sees one of those Scriptures about Jesus being the only way to Heaven.
Share your faith with Catholics. I find that some are very open, and some are very closed. They will typically take something to read. One Second After You… and Second Greatest Lie are great booklets to give them. Also One Heartbeat Away is a great resource to give them as well. We heard about a Catholic nun who read that book and got saved. Praise ye the Lord!!
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Watch your words. Use them wisely. Days are running short. Lies are everywhere. The tomb is empty. Jesus is the only answer. Tell someone that good news today.
Until the Nets are Full,
P.S. I did a talk a few years ago called Roman Catholicism vs. The Bible. I think you will like it. People tell me it is very informative. They have also sent the link to many of their Catholic friends. A good thing to do is ask others to critique it and get back to you about it. Many of them have never heard some of the information presented in it that reveals what Roman Catholicism really teaches.
I just heard from Kevin today who said,
“My wife and I were given new life from your
teaching on the Roman Catholicism vs. The Bible
about 10 years ago. We share it as much as possible.”
P.P.S. The Word is very, very important. Never forget that.
