The Ezekiel Fingerprint

Sep 26, 2017

The Bible says that sin comes at a cost, and telling the truth can come at a cost, too. Bringing criminals to justice requires evidence, and sometimes the evidence comes through some unusual circumstances, like a surprise eye witness, cell phone video, or some other means.

But in the case of the murder of Ricky Samuels, the evidence literally came from the pages of the Bible. Listen as Trey Gowdy tells the incredible story of a diligent forensic tech who found the piece of evidence that cracked the case on the pages of Scripture.

Jesus told the truth, and we want to be people of the truth, too. The facts don’t lie. And the stakes are too high to not tell the truth because the truth will come out eventually anyway.

Jeremiah 16:17

For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

Numbers 32:23

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Isaiah 59:12

For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And we know our iniquities:

Proverbs 5:21,22

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. His own iniquities will capture the wicked, And he will be held with the cords of his sin.

Romans 2:16

In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christaccording to my gospel.

2 Peter 3:10,11

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

All the deeds of man will be brought to justice one day. Make sure to live your life by walking uprightly in faith. Make sure to uphold the truth and nothing but the truth! Then if the spotlight shines in your direction, you will have nothing to fear and no need to shrink back or hide in this life or the next.
