Shannon is a soul-winner. He loves to share his faith! But he knows that you have to be out where the lost people are and engage them. An easy place to find the lost are at State and County fairs. You can just walk around and talk with people or set up a booth.
Shannon sent me an update from the fair where he had a booth. He wrote in to tell me about it:

I want to give you a fair update. It was a PHENOMENAL week!! I’m a little later than I intended on the update because I’ve been in recovery mode for the last few days!!
There is so much that could be told, but we’d need to sit down for a few hours!! A few things, though. Micah (my son) and his friend spent several hours at the Muslim booth sharing the gospel with them (over multiple days). At one point, the Muslims had 3 adults talking to two 17-year-olds, and then they (the Muslims) swapped out one guy! Towards the end of the week, one of the Muslims told my son’s friend that while he disagreed with his (our) beliefs, what he was doing was very honorable, and he was impressed with him.
Hannah Karis (my 14-year-old daughter) and her 12-year-old friend spent time at the Jehovah’s Witnesses booth, and the workers in that booth had trouble defending their beliefs!
One guy that our assistant pastor talked with had ZERO knowledge of Jesus; he was a complete blank slate! That guy got a call during the conversation, and he told the person calling, “I can’t talk to you right now; someone is telling me about Jesus!” My assistant pastor said that he has never seen anyone as excited to hear about Jesus as that guy was! What makes it even more interesting is the guy has a terminal illness.
Thank you again for your prayers!! It was amazing seeing God at work and getting to be part of it!!

My, my. What a time they had! They gave away a ton of books, booklets, and tracts during their week at the fair. Keep praying that God will water the seeds that were planted. He also mentioned having his kids out there. He also mentioned having his kids out there.
