We received this extraordinary email during Christmastime and wanted to share it with you:
Dear Mark,
I lived most of my life thinking I was saved but, in reality, was not. It took me going through ten horrible years of darkness: living the gay lifestyle, suicidal thoughts and attempts, and a lawsuit against my father. The accusations I was saying against him were completely false, but, at the time, I believed they were true. After a decade, I thought I hit my bottom point.
Brother Mark, I went years of living in the “dark” when suddenly, like the switch of a light, I saw the truth of Jesus. In that moment, I said “Yes” to the “light” and abandoned my past lifestyle of sin. I have, like the prodigal son, not only asked my parents for forgiveness (and they forgave me right away!) but moved home with them for a short time (rebuilding the lost years). Since 2018, I have been walking alongside Christ, doing my best to answer His call to go into all the world and make disciples. It is a joy to live in 2021. God kept me alive all of those years when I thought the Holy Spirit resided in me. He saved me from me. He has, through His amazing grace, given me a heart of flesh and removed my heart of stone.
I thought I’d share this with you as I have been greatly blessed by your ministry. Thank you for all you have done and all that you continue to do.

Remember that no one is outside of the reach of the Lord. You have no idea what is going on in someone’s heart and mind, even when they’re caught in sin for years. Truth and forgiveness are powerful. Be sure to tell people how their sins can be forgiven, too!
