We received this neat email from Virginia recently. She is bold, like how we all need to be!
Hi, Mark!
“I hope you are doing well. I am getting back outside and running again now that the weather is warmer. No more treadmills. Ha!
“I met a couple of young college students coming out of the apartments I was running by. I stopped to chat with them. I gave them each a gospel tract and asked them, if they were to die, were they 100 percent sure where they would go?
“The tall African boy said, ‘Yes, heaven.’ I said, ‘How do you know that?’ He said, ‘Because Jesus died for my sins.’ ‘Amen,’ I said. The other boy did not know, so I talked to him about the free gift of salvation and suggested that they should read the Bible together, since they had both just heard the gospel. I also told them about your website and some books that would be good to read.
“The tall African said, ‘Oh, I know about One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven.‘ He said one of his friends was currently reading it!!!
“Then yesterday, I went to pick up some dresses that I had altered. I have a problem. I am short. It’s my grandmother’s genes. She always said, ‘Short and sweet, and can’t be beat.’ Anyway, I went in, and I was in a hurry. The lady who worked on my dresses was ringing up my total and started talking about her health and how she nearly died. Then it swung into a great conversation. She was a believer. We encouraged each other, and I gave her the booklet, The Second Greatest Lie Ever Told, and a tract to give to a lost family member or a friend. She said, ‘These are great. Where can I get them?’ She said she was going to order some to put on her reception desk!! So glad I didn’t rush out. I called her today to tell her what a blessing it was to chat with her, and she said she already ordered some things from your website.
“Well, I need to get back to cutting hair. Lunch break is over.
“Just thought I would share these. Thanks again for the great books, booklets, and tracts. My running belt is loaded up with tracts.”
God bless you!

We should make the most of every opportunity that God gives us. And, many times, we just create our own opportunities! We exercise with a purpose.
Ephesians 5:15-17
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
A lady friend of the ministry loves to ride her bike. So, Linda loads up with tracts and booklets before taking off on a nice, long ride each morning. And what does she find? Divine appointments on every ride she takes!
Time to exercise, folks! The weather is good, and someone needs to hear what Jesus has done for them!
Until the nets are full,
P.S. Don’t you love how God makes us all so different? I also get some of my clothes altered. Why? I am toooo tall!! But that Chinese lady loves when I come in. I always have Chinese tracts for her. The last time I was there, I had a crazy conversation with the guy in line behind me. Total divine appointment. Sometimes, it is not the funnest thing being so tall that you bump your head on things, but I am glad it has brought me into a few alteration shops through the years!
P.P.S. One Heartbeat Away is still on sale with single books discounted by 50% off the regularly suggested donation amount. That makes it only $7.50 per book! Be ready and get set to go make a difference in someone’s life. Give them the truth they need so they can land safely in eternity!
