We recently received this letter from a friend of the ministry. He loves to share his faith. He and his family shared the gospel while he lived here in the States. Then he felt God leading him to be a missionary in Mexico. Oops, Mexico didn’t know what was about to hit them!
Just remember, even a big, beautiful wall could never stop the gospel!
2 Thessalonians 3:1
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
Hey Brother Mark,ÂÂ
    It was great spending some time with you and catching up. I was sorry to hear that you got sick after our visit. I hope you are doing much better. Your books have been such a blessing here in Mexico. I wanted to share a couple of stories about how your books have been used.ÂÂ
    As I travel around here, I often encounter military checkpoints. They are routine but can sometimes be a hassle. I was traveling with a friend to another part of the state that I had never been to before. We came up to a checkpoint and saw that they were thoroughly searching all of the vehicles. I remarked to my friend that it was too bad the soldiers in this part of the state didn’t know me so we could go through faster. When we pulled up, I noticed that one of the soldiers looked familiar. He came up and greeted me. He said, “Hey, aren’t you the missionary with the books?†He remembered that when he was stationed in another area, I gave all the men Chick tracts and your book One Heartbeat Away. He motioned us on through, and we went on our way.
    Over the years I have come to know several members of the Sinaloan Drug Cartel. I have given some of them your books as well. One day, some of them stopped by the church to visit with me. I noticed on the dash of their SUV a copy of One Heartbeat Away. The funny thing was I hadn’t given it to them. I asked the driver where he got the book. He said that someone else in the cartel had given it to him. Someone I had given the book to, at some point, had passed it on after finishing it.
    We have given out your books to police, military, mafia, Roman Catholic priests, many churches around the state, and even to the Governor. Thank you for supplying us with the books. May God continue to bless your ministry.

Mexico isn’t always the easiest place to witness and interacting with drug cartel members might get your attention. But we’re called to be bold witnesses for Christ, stand up for the gospel. and trust the Lord to guide us.
