My dad was hungry. I am not sure why. He has eaten a lot of food in his 87 years. Oh, well. He said he was hungry, so it was my job to make him happy and get him some food!
As I was leaving his driveway, I noticed someone sitting at the end of the street, smoking a cigarette. I knew I needed to chat with him, but I was also trying to get the food on time. I decided to drive to the restaurant and pick up the order, but I prayed, “God if you want me to talk with him, make sure he is still there when I get back.”
1 John 5:14,15
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Yes, our God does answer prayer! As I pulled back into my dad’s driveway, he was still there. So, along with the tracts that I always have in my pocket―always―I grabbed a booklet and walked over to him. We started chatting.
He let me know that he was the grandson of Betty, the lady who lives next-door to my dad. Well, I remembered him from when he was probably three or four years old and used to come over with his brother to swim at her house.
As I began to witness to him, I noticed that he seemed really strong in his faith. He is about 20 years old now. He told me he reads his Bible and his grandmother helps him with the Scriptures, etc. I asked him, “How did you become so serious about your faith?” He answered that he had gone to jail and did a ton of reading, especially studying the Scriptures, while he was there.
Logan and I walked over to my car, so I could give him one of my books. He looked at it and said, “You are Mark Cahill?” He said he had read a couple of my books while he was in jail! And now he finds out that I grew up next-door to his grandmother!
What a neat exchange we had. Please say a prayer for Logan to grow in his faith and to find a job that will match his skills and glorify the Lord.
I want to thank all of you who give donations for the products you order and who donate to the ministry. We take those blessings and use them wisely. One thing we have done with your gifts is send thousands upon thousands upon thousands of books into the prison system here in America. We also send them to individuals and chaplains, and then we watch them spread into many people’s lives. Thanks for blessing the Logan’s of the world. Finish well!
Until the nets are full,
P.S. I don’t want to make you mad, but you should get mad. Like really mad. Do you really know what the transgender movement is doing to children today? Watch this video. Definitely eye-opening. If you are a teenager, get permission from your parents to watch it or watch it with them. Your blood is probably going to boil, and it should.

P.P.S. This is a fun photo. Steve and Wes were witnessing at the Arnold Classic in Ohio recently. One lady in the crowd even asked for the One Heartbeat Away book shown in the picture. God is so good. Always remember when you are out witnessing that we can do great things through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
