Beyoncé came to town, so I figured it was time for me to head out to do some witnessing!
One statement I wrote in One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven was, “Let Satan draw them together, and we will witness to them.” Anywhere crowds come together is always a great place to hand out tracts and get into conversations with folks.
Easy Peasy
When witnessing, all you have to do is just hold out a tract and say, “Did you get one of these?” or “Have a nice evening.” Very simple. Many people take them, but sometimes they don’t. It’s just part of witnessing on the streets.
When they don’t take a tract, you’ll often hear them say, “I am good.” Then you can just respond by saying, “Are you good enough to go to heaven?” They have varying reactions to that challenge.
Sometimes, when they won’t take a tract, I will say in a friendly tone of voice, “Judgment Day is coming,” or “Judgment Day is coming, and you must be ready for it.” One simple line can get a lot of people thinking. Some nod their head to acknowledge the statement, while others give various other responses.
Giving Excuses
I had one lady tell me that because she had been baptized twice and her friend had been baptized five times, they will be okay on Judgment Day. Well, I am not sure which Bible they are reading, but that is not correct. It doesn’t matter how wet you get; water doesn’t wash away sin. Only the blood of Christ can cleanse your sins away.
One of the problems with the American Church is that people are not reading and studying the Scriptures. If they did, they would know that baptism is not the answer they should give to anyone.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Another lady said, “I am saved, but I am just going to listen to some secular music tonight.” Incorrect. Every bit of the secular world that we put into our system will have an effect on us. We are either building our spirit up or we are building our flesh up. We should want to crucify our flesh. Not an easy thing to do in our sin-saturated culture, but it must be our goal.
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
These verses seem pretty clear, don’t they? But the battle rages on as we continue to live in this worldly realm.
