You and everyone else must be ready.

“Delicate Soul”

Jan 16, 2024

Since we are supposed to pray without ceasing, don’t be afraid to take anything to the throne of God. One thing I always pray for is the right waiter or waitress. Why? There could be a lot of them in a restaurant, and God might just have a divine appointment set up with one of them.

I prayed for the right waitress and got Hayla. She did a really nice job. Many times I will say, “Three questions for you.” They always agree, and then I ask them the questions below. I let them respond to each of them and see where things go from there.

  1. Do you ever think about what happens when you die?
  2. What makes you think about it?
  3. What conclusion have you come to?

Hayla told me that she had been “re-baptized” recently. That was an interesting comment, and it led to a fascinating conversation. We only need to do a believer’s baptism once. She ended up telling me that she went way off into the world for a while and has now returned to the faith that she grew up in. Praise ye the Lord for the foundation of truth that was laid in her life. She understood she could repent and come back to the Bible and the biblical Jesus.

She had gone down the piercing and tattoo road. Across her neck, she had a tattoo that read, “Delicate Soul.” Interestingly, I didn’t address it until right at the end, when I was getting ready to pay my bill. But I never found out why she had that tattoo.

Many times, when I witness to someone, my first question is about their tattoo. I usually say, “What does that tattoo mean?” But I said to her instead:

Psalm 139:13,14

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

I remind people all the time that they are knit together—piece by piece—in their mother’s womb, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that they are made in the image of God. I try to remind them that they are not just special, but very special. I let Hayla know that she is special just because she is. Now, we also let people know they must repent and believe in Jesus to be eternally right with God, but they are special to God nonetheless.

Might be a good day to go and talk to a waiter or waitress for the Lord. Email us your story and let us know how it went.

Until the nets are full,

P.S.The murder of children is the leading cause of death in the world…again.

The Christian Post reported that abortion was the leading cause of death worldwide in 2023, topping infectious diseases and cancer.

Approximately 44.6 million babies were murdered in the womb over the course of 2023, marking the fifth consecutive year in which abortion was the world’s leading cause of death.

Other significant causes of death included infectious diseases (12.9 million), cancer (8.2 million), smoking (4.9 million), alcohol abuse (2.4 million), HIV and AIDS (1.6 million), traffic accidents (1.3 million), and suicide (over 1 million).

When added up, abortion caused more deaths than all the aforementioned factors combined.
