As many of us know, more bullets were flying around the Butler, PA, political rally on July 13th than just the bullet that hit former President Trump. I’m sure that many of you have already seen the news about Corey Comperatore. His family posted the following on his Facebook page just hours after one of those bullets fatally struck him.
Let’s see what we can glean from this.
Sure looks like this lady loves her dad! Praise ye the Lord!!
I meet a lot of people as I go through life. When I find someone, whether they are younger, teenagers, or older, and they brag on their dads, it is one of the real high points of my day. I have met way too many folks who don’t know their dad, never met their dad, or don’t have good feelings about him. But when a dad does what he is supposed to do as a father, it is just so powerful and truly impacts the lives of his children.
John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
The other thing we can probably glean from what this family is saying about this man is that he was saved. We will know for sure once we get to the other side. It sounds like knowing Jesus Christ was something he felt was very important for his kids to know, too.
So a dad throws his body over his wife and kids to protect them, and he gets to enter glory just a few moments later? My, oh, my. What a way to exit this place called earth, and what a way to enter the presence of Jesus! Wow, wow, wow!!
