I received a neat email from Wade the other day and thought I would pass it along to you. He wrote:
Last night (Monday night), after my nightly reading before bed, I decided that whatever I made in tips on Tuesday night I was not going to tithe off of. Instead, I was going to give the entire amount back to God. (It’s all His anyway, so why not?)
On the way home from work, I couldn’t decide which ministry to give it to. Then it hit me: When people are fed at my restaurant, they give their money to my restaurant, not the one next door. God has been feeding me through Jesus’ ministry that He operates through you. I know that more lost people will be reached and more believers will be enriched through Mark Cahill Ministries than anywhere else I could give that money to.
Just a few minutes ago, I was reading One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven. On page 67, you talk about giving and how much better it is to give than to receive.
Keep doing the great work of spreading the great news about Jesus to others!!

Philippians 4:17
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
Now, don’t send anything to the ministry. I mean that. That is not why I shared Wade’s story. The reason I included it is because his email got me thinking.
There are two men of God who I really like and have learned a lot from. I have read and watched a bunch of their materials and have been so blessed by them. But when I read Wade’s email, I realized something: I had written to and blessed one of the men, but I had not written to and blessed the other man. So, Wade’s email moved me to take action. I wrote a nice note of encouragement to the other gentleman. I also gave him one of my books and a nice blessing for his ministry. I hope it encourages him as much as Wade’s email encouraged me.

But Wade wasn’t finished. He added:
P.S. I’m looking at my work schedule to see who I will work with the next week. That way, I can pray for them and for the Holy Spirit to prepare their hearts to hear the gospel when I work with them. Pray for me and that my love of God will trump my fear of man.
