Since we have been covering the topic of education, I wanted to share this article I was reading the other day:
“‘Critical Race Theory, or CRT, teaches us against them,’ Burges, author of Teach Me How to Teach My Child, explained. ‘It teaches blacks against whites, it teaches that whites are superior and it teaches that black students are oppressed. That’s not what black parents want to teach their children.’â€Â

“CRT is a Marxist ideology that embraces the concept that all American institutions are systemically racist, with whites as oppressors and blacks as victims.â€ÂÂÂ
“‘We don’t want our children to go to school and learn that, because of white supremacy, or white privilege – that’s why you can’t achieve,’ she explained to Breitbart News. ‘We do not agree with this. My concern is that parents understand that and know that our parents at National Black Home Educators stand firm against this.’â€ÂÂÂ
“‘And, now, we totally stand against CRT, we do not agree with that and we do not teach our children that,’ she emphasized. ‘I believe that they’re using the black curriculum to move their agenda forward with CRT. Yes, yes, they’re using the black agenda, and black families, to promote that agenda, but our black families stand firm against it.’â€ÂÂÂ

One beautiful side effect of the Covid lockdowns is the skyrocketing homeschool numbers. More and more families are choosing this route to educate their kids. Parents caught a glimpse of the indoctrination their kids were being subjected to at school, and they didn’t like it one bit.

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
As I heard one lady say, “I will not teach my child to be a victim, but a victor!â€Â

P.S. During my travels back in the day, I stopped into Serenity Coffee Shop in Okeechobee, FL. Little did I know that I would meet some eternal friends that day! Curtis and Jennie love the Lord. They have used their coffee shop to glorify Him and reach the lost.
As you can see in the picture, they have given away a ton of our books and booklets through the years! They know what they are here for. They not only run a good business and fill up Okeechobee with some good coffee, but they know this life is about souls. It is about reaching the lost. That is what we are here for. They do a great job being about the Lord’s business!
If you own a business, remember to use it to reach the lost. And if you don’t have a business, maybe start one that God can use in mighty, mighty ways before you see Him face to face!
