What are you and your church doing in your town or city to reach lost souls for Jesus?
Haven of Rest Church in West New Haven, CT hits the streets once a week and goes right into the middle of town to talk with folks. The area they go to is called The Green. Some of you will remember that I put them in the book Reunion (pages 222-223). Those pages explain how something very dramatic happened in Ellen’s life, one of the main characters of the book. Where did I get the idea for that part of the book? That is correct—this church and their outreach efforts!
1 Corinthians 9:22
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
The pastor, his wife, and many others go out to The Green to witness. They pick up coffee and make some breakfast sandwiches to bless the folks they encounter. They always have with them their voices, the gospel, and materials to hand out. Who do they also have with them? That is correct as well—the Holy Spirit! And they always have Holy Spirit-inspired stories from their outreach efforts. ALWAYS!
Where will you, your church, or friends be setting up to reach the people in your area for Jesus? All God needs are some faithful hearts, and He will most definitely take care of the rest!

P.S. You might want to check out Don Sunshine. He runs Don Sunshine Ministries (https://donsunshine.org/). They train up people to share their faith. But do you know what he really does? He gives depression the boot because he is sharing his faith all the time! He sent us this picture after reading Monday’s newsletter, Giving Depression the Boot. P.P.S. These days, we all understand how valuable freedom is. While we cherish our national freedoms, the most valuable freedom of all is found only in the gospel of Christ. Memorial Day is coming up in a couple of weeks. Be ready to reach people by handing them a Freedom tract. When you hand this tract out, people readily take it out of your hands. Very few turn this one down. They are a great conversation starter about being free forever in the new life Jesus offers.
