A friend of the ministry, Brian Culver, recently released a book titled Silence in The Streets. He draws attention to the need for all believers to take seriously the work that the Lord has entrusted to all Christians: witnessing to the lost. We have no problem talking about who wins the big “sports game,†but when it comes to talking about Jesus Christ, the silence is everywhere and it is deafening.
    In it, he writes:
“Silent by choice is exactly that! You have chosen to not speak to people. You have chosen to be quiet when God wants you to be speaking. You have chosen to ignore your neighbors, your friends, and the strangers because you truly don’t care where they go when they die. It is a choice that you have made. It goes completely against what God desires His followers to do. While Jesus says awake and watch, you are sleeping and dreaming of heaven without wanting to do a single thing to bring other people to heaven with you.
“Is this really the kind of silence that God wants from you? He wants you to be bold as lions but filled with His love. He wants you to share your faith, your testimony, and His Word with everyone you see.
“God is good, and if we truly believe that He is good, then we must tell other people about Him.†(p.64, 65)
______
“It is time to take your faith to the next level. Be silent no more! Share the love of Christ everywhere you go. Serve Him with a humble spirit and a grateful heart. Not out of obligation but out of love for your Heavenly Father! Today is the day of salvation.†(p.74)ÂÂ
