Many people remember the Walter Scott shooting in South Carolina. If you don’t, you can look it up real quick.
When the case went to trial, it ended in a hung jury. That really surprised a lot of people, but that is what a jury process is for. It doesn’t always end up the way you want it to.
So immediately after the mistrial, Walter Scott’s mom, Judy, spoke publicly to the media, the crowds, and to the nation.She unashamedly declares that justice will be served and that she was able to handle the tragedy because of her faith in Jesus Christ. Take a listen to what she had to say, starting at minute 1:43.

It’s evident that Judy Scott’s faith and trust in the Lord is burning red hot. No one could back her down from declaring her faith in Jesus Christ publicly. Think about what you would say if you were speaking into a microphone. Would you turn it into an opportunity to declare that Jesus is your God and is Lord over all? Would you bear such a powerful testimony to His faithfulness in your life that no one could argue with you? Would others gain confidence to place their faith in the Lord because of your strong stand? Are you speaking about the things of the Lord everywhere you go? Certainly things to think about in a world that is growing darker by the day.
Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Psalm 89:8
O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
Be sure to use the time you have been given on earth to declare His praises and name openly to the world. Let what is stored up on the inside come flooding forward. You will not regret it now or in Heaven, and neither will your hearers.
