Eternity is rushing towards us.
You and everyone else must be ready.

Hotspot for Witnessing

Diego is on fire—the right kind of fire.

I know Buck, the gentleman Diego refers to. He and his wife heard me speak years ago. Buck is a faithful soldier for the Lord. He is always handing tracts out. ALWAYS. He is always opening up his mouth and talking to people about the Lord. ALWAYS.

Check out the email Diego sent us:

Good afternoon, Mark!!

My name is Diego, and I became a born-again Christian last February. Since then, I have been on a roller coaster ride learning more and more about my faith and learning the truth that Jesus is. I was super into evangelism when I first got saved, and then I started getting persecuted for it, and fear rose up inside of me near the summer months and early fall, and I stopped.

About three weeks ago, I met Buck B. at Saltbox Church. He told me to listen to your sermon, One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven. Listened to the whole thing. Buck gave me a copy of your book, and I’m almost done reading it. Changed my entire perspective on witnessing and sharing the gospel with others. I am on fire once again at the reality that death is imminent. Eternity is a long time to be either in hell or heaven. I want as many people in heaven. Nothing else matters, like you say so often.

No amount of money, no matter what clothes you wear, no matter what car you drive, 800 million years from now, the only thing that will matter is heaven or hell. You’ve told stories about people coming back from hell in your sermons and book, and I believed them, but it really hit me when I was witnessing to a desk receptionist. They shared a similar story of a friend who overdosed on fentanyl, was proclaimed dead for ten minutes, and supernaturally came back to life. He’s currently trying to become a pastor.

I’ve started sharing that story with everyone I meet because it’s REAL. Hell is a real place, and people need to wake up.

I am a resident assistant at the university, so I am in a freshman dorm with 200-plus freshman. Prime hotspot for witnessing. It’s amazing, and I truly want to help the other Christians around me who aren’t witnessing. Like you’ve said time and time again, if you believe in Hell, the question should be how can I NOT share my faith?

I am a college student, so money is not abundant for me. I was wondering if there’s any way I could get tracts and books to get these students to start taking their faith seriously.

Best,

Diego

Revelation 20:11-15

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

No games on that day. Serious business only. Don’t let one friend or one stranger you have ever met go to a place like ever for eternity.

Until the nets are full,

P.S.  It’s always good to be challenged to be a bold witness for Jesus Christ. In this video, Mark uses humor and seriousness to show how the lost can’t be reached in heaven, which means they must be reached here and now.

P.P.S. Linda wrote in with the neat story below:

I must tell you some good news! A little widowed lady who recently joined our church bought a book at a yard sale. The title: One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven. She asked our pastor’s wife if that would be a good read. When the pastor’s wife saw “Mark Cahill” on it, she said, “Go ask Linda. She knows all about that guy!” Sooooo…when the widow asked me what it would be that you can’t do in heaven, I said, “Read it and find out! By the time you finish the book, if you are not a soul-winner, you will be. And if you are a soul-winner, you will be a much better one!” She finally finished it and told me about her first witnessing experience at Quik Trip! She boldly walked up to two workers, and they happily received her and her tracts! She said she went to bed that night feeling GREAT! I told her there is no greater satisfaction in life than falling asleep and thanking the Lord for the opportunities that day to serve the One who paid for the salvation of my soul! Jesus deserves ALL He paid for!!!!

Till Jesus receives all He paid for,
