You and everyone else must be ready.

Her Price is Far Above Rubies

May 5, 2024

Have you noticed anything unusual about these “protests” that are happening on college campuses right now? They are a fascinating case study when you dig into them and figure out what is really going on.

One of the first things you notice is that these events are not organic. They require a lot of planning. You don’t see a whole bunch of tents just show up unless someone has planned for them! And, by the way, who paid for those tents?

Every group has leaders and followers. You can see it in these protest groups as well. So, who are the leaders? If you look at the people who have been arrested, are they all students from those campuses? Not by a long shot.

Lisa Fithian was seen at the riot at Columbia University. What was she doing there? Is she a student? No, not even close. She is a professional agitator. She trains people to protest. Well, that is one way to waste your life. And, by the way, who has been funding her activities over these many years?

One of the more fascinating elements of this picture is watching the rioters as they are being interviewed. Most of them won’t consent to being on camera, but when they do, they are fun to watch. They are pretty clueless. They don’t know what the real cause of the protest is. But they love to chant. It is one of the best things they do!

      “Free, Free Palestine!”

      “From the river to the sea, Palestine must be free!”

Wouldn’t it be easier to get a one-way ticket and fly to Palestine and fight for your cause there? Win the war? No, not really. It is easier to agitate here, especially if you are getting a paycheck.

You have leaders, and you have followers. Most of the followers are students on campus. They are bored. They are ready for summer. This happened right before finals. Don’t you find it a tad interesting that they weren’t protesting in January, February, or March? I guess it was a little too cold to stand up for their cause then.

Also, if you have been following the trends on college campuses through the years, the schools have basically become Communist, Marxist, and Socialist training centers. The only problem now is that the kids they have trained in that way want to take over their campuses!

One major thing caught my attention as I listened to the leaders screaming or chanting through the microphones. I noticed that the common denominator was that they were almost exclusively women. They would screech through that microphone, and they would lead those Palestinian chants. The DEI pecking order puts them right near the top of the food chain.

Is this really the way women are supposed to act?

Proverbs 31:30

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Proverbs 31:10

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

1 Timothy 2:9,10

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Titus 2:3-5

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

1 Peter 3:1-5

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

As you can see, no, ladies are not supposed to be acting like the women in these protests do. We are living in a day and age when society is telling us that men can be women and women can be men. And our response to that thinking is always one big, biblical “No!”

But where are the ladies that we read about in these verses? If you can find one, fellas, you have found a pot of gold!

Parents, are you training your young ladies to be this kind of woman? Are you training your boys to be biblical men? But once you train them, are you sending them off to these indoctrination centers to undo everything you taught them?

We need now, more than ever before, more of these amazing biblical women. Do your part to make that happen.

Until the nets are full,

P.P.S. We hear from people, now and then, about how our books have impacted them. Sarah wrote in with a comment about One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven and had this to say:

Mark,

Thank you so much for writing One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven. It has helped ignite a fire in my heart for intentionally reaching out to the lost. My daughter and I are starting a witnessing/evangelization ministry at our church called “Engage the World.” We are using your book to help train people. The majority of the people who have signed up to be part of the ministry have never been out witnessing before! We are excited to see how God will use us! May God continue to bless you!

Sarah H.

Sarah now knows the joys of witnessing. It’s an amazing moment when you realize that giving the gospel can impact someone for eternity. And, when you also realize that God has just used you in a witnessing situation to reach someone, it is off the charts.

So that you can help others to be used by the Lord or to help others become saved, we have knocked down the suggested donation of One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven. It’s our 8 8 8 celebration of 800,000 copies of One Thing in print! So, whether it’s single books, bundles, or cases, all books are roughly $8 per book.
