One thing I like about the Gideons is that they get their feet wet. They hit the streets. They go to where lost people are found and plant seeds with them.
Take a read at what Bill did on one of the Scripture Blitzes they do:
While doing open-air witnessing at Times Square in NYC, I met two young men named Tangelo and Andrew sitting on some steps, and I started a conversation with them.
I handed them some “Personal Worker Testaments” (PWTs) and shared with them the helps at the front and the map to Heaven at the back.
This prompted me to ask if they thought they would go to Heaven.
They said they would because they believed they were good enough.
I said that there is a test that God has to see if anyone is good enough, and I said, “It is the Ten Commandments.”
I asked if they had ever stolen anything, and they said, “Yes.”
I asked, “What does that make you?”
Tangelo said, “A sinner.”
I said, “Yes, but I more specifically meant a thief.”
They agreed.
I asked, “Have you ever told a lie before?”
And they said together, “Yes.”
I asked what did that make them, and they both said, “A liar.”
I told them, “Jesus said that looking on a woman with lust is the same as committing adultery.” I asked if they had ever looked on a woman with lust.
They both smiled and said, “Yes.”
I said they had already broken three of the Commandments and asked if they thought God would let them into Heaven.
They said, “No.”
I said, “God knew that, so He provided a way.” I asked them to open to the back of the Testament. I asked Tangelo to read Romans 6:23. He read it. I asked him if he knew what it meant. He hesitated, and Andrew said, “You don’t know what that means?”
They laughed. I said, “Let me help you.” I told them, “The wages of sin is death.” I said, “Death in the Bible is Hell.” I said, “Your sin would send you to Hell.” I said, “We all sin, but God provided the free gift of eternal life if we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.”
I had Tangelo read Romans 10:13. I asked him if he had ever called on the name of the Lord before. He said, “No,” and Andrew shook his head no. I asked if they wanted to do that now, and they both said, “Yes.”
I pointed to the sinner’s prayer, and I said if you really mean it, you can be saved, but if you don’t, it is just words. I said, “Do you want to say the prayer, or would you like me to say the prayer for you?” They both wanted me to say it. They bowed their heads, and I led them in the sinner’s prayer. They both accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior!
I congratulated them on their decision and shook their hands. I told them they needed to read the “Testament” every day. I said God had a plan and purpose for their lives, and they could discover it in God’s Word.
I also told them to find a church that preached this Word, and that church would help them grow in their faith.
Please pray for Tangelo and Andrew as they discover God’s purpose for their lives.

Acts 5:20
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
Spring is almost upon us. It’s time to get out and see some blue sky. Get into the open air. College campuses, parks, beaches, music festivals, fairs, etc. Also, as you run your errands, take walks in your neighborhood, visit campgrounds, help out at schools, etc. There are a million places we can go under this big blue roof above us.
Go, stand, and speak the words of eternal life to many lost souls. Today.
Until the nets are full,
P.S. I just had a neat conversation with a very bold airline pilot for the Lord, He and his church love giving away the One Heartbeat Away books to the unsaved. His church actually uses this book with those who come forward and who are seeking more information about salvation at their church.
So, let’s put this book at a 33% discount so you can get all that you want to give away. Be bold, and keep planting seeds that the Lord can make grow!

P.P.S. Did the teacher forget a minor detail as he was describing his analogy? Maybe a MAJOR detail?
