We got this neat email the other day, but I have to be honest: I think I am getting old. I had forgotten that our booklet One Second After You . . . was translated into German! Sometimes, I just get busy with projects, and my mind can put something aside in a small corner of my brain that I would never recall unless someone reminded me of it! Are any of you out there like that?
It was so exciting to see that this booklet is being used by Marion in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. You just never know what God can do with the printed word.
And it was also great to hear that Marion and her friends are training up some young ones in the truth.
Here’s the letter and some pictures that Marion sent in to the ministry:
I am still humbled that you let me translate One Second After You . . . into German. I am from Austria, and now, I am living in Switzerland. With the faithful women in our church’s Ladies Bible study, we are doing apologetics and approaching different topics to learn how to handle them when they arise.
At the start, I gave them a copy of the booklet (I did have it printed beautifully), because it is just such a neat, short explanation of the gospel!!
Now last time, one lady shared something with the group. Susanne is a teacher in primary, teaching 6-10 year olds. She read the two passages on page 16: one about the pieces of an airplane and a tornado comes through but can’t create a functional Boeing 747, and the other one when you put pieces of a watch into a box and shake it trying to end up with a watch. The kids were absolutely stunned and had tons of fun, and, of course, they had a great conversation afterward.ÂÂ
How cool! Your booklet, Eine Sekunde Nachdem Sie . . . is now read to kids in Switzerland and will impact their thinking and their faith and the faith of their teachers. They will give hard times to their teachers and others when once they get into higher education!!!
Bless you, Mark and your ministry.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Marion and her friends are in the fields of Europe reaching the lost. We need more people in the fields there and here at home. Are you one of those people that the Lord can count on to plant seeds with the lost and to help bring in the harvest? Or are you one of those people who just like hearing other people’s stories but don’t trust the Lord enough to let Him work through you in mighty ways?
Look out your front door and your car windows. The field is ripe unto harvest!
Until the Nets are Full,
P.S. “My husband was given One Second After You . . . and it made a profound impact on his thinking. The doctors couldn’t understand how he was still alive, let alone lucid. You see, the lung cancer had spread to both sides of his brain. He gave his life to the Lord just days before he died. God is mighty, and I thank Him for you and your ministry. Bless you.â€Â  Lauri M.
