Eternity is rushing towards us.
You and everyone else must be ready.

Ganja

Mar 1, 2025

Many times, I stop at this one gas station on the way to church. I like to hand some tracts out and maybe bless a few people. It is a great way to start a Sunday morning!

As I walked up to this one car last Sunday, the window was rolled down. That was a little odd, since it was pretty cold outside. Two guys were sitting inside. As I got closer, one of the guys was none too happy with me! He kept yelling at me, “What do you want?” The other guy was cool about me approaching them. I asked if they were getting gas because I wanted to bless them. Well, the loud guy didn’t like the situation.

I told them I was a Christian, and Jesus said it was more blessed to give than receive, and that I try and live my life that way. Well, the driver was really grateful. Then I noticed him trying to snuff something out. They were smoking weed! Hitting the joint. Riding the ganja train. They were killing some “420,” and the Christian guy was interrupting their business!

I let them know it was no big deal that they were smoking. Didn’t bother me. Sinners sin. That is what they do.

I gave them some literature and asked what they thought happened when they died. The driver’s eyes got big. Elias looked at me and said, “We were just sitting here talking about what we think happens after death.”

So is it possible for all men to seek God? Doesn’t God want all men to be saved? Isn’t it the fool who dismisses God and doesn’t do good? Hasn’t God set eternity in the hearts of men?

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1 Timothy 2:4

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Psalm 14:1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

First of all, don’t assume that people don’t think about the topic of life and death. And second of all, if someone is smoking marijuana or drinking a beer, don’t assume they don’t think about the topic of life and death. Many people can get introspective when they partake of the extracurriculars in life.

Now that doesn’t mean you should go buy baggies of cannabis to hand out to enhance your witnessing! You will not find that strategy in any of my books! Just walk up and start chatting with people.

During the conversation, Elias asked me, “What is your favorite verse in the Bible?” Well, you might have an answer to that question, but it is really an impossible question to answer. If you study your Bible, there is no way to choose  only one because there are too many amazing verses.

It is like when people ask, “If you were on a desert island and you could only have one book of the Bible with you, which one would it be?” That is an impossible question to answer if you study your Bible. Also, I would expect that God had already delivered a Bible from a missionary before I ever arrived on that island!

My response to Elias was, “Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

I let them know that if they can find out whether that verse is true, the rest is easy.

In the beginning (time), God (was already there) made the heaven and the earth (all that we can see and not see). Once you know this is true, then the rest of the Bible is very easy to believe in.

Please say a prayer for Joseph and Elias. Pray they read those materials and come to the knowledge of what Jesus has done for them.

So the next time you see someone smoking some Kush, walk up and chat with them. You might just be amazed by what takes place!

Until the nets are full,
