My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,
that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6
Now, this verse is talking about the Jews rejecting the knowledge of God. They knew who Yahweh was, but they wouldn’t obey Him. They should have been seeking Him much more than they were.
There is a concept in here that I think can be applied in many areas. We should never be people who lack knowledge. We should be seekers of truth and evidence. We should be well read. Just because TV, newspapers, or governments, report or say something doesn’t at all mean it is correct. We should want to know the truth of what is going on around us so we are not deceived.
Always remember, never accept a cure that is worse than the disease.
According to the CDC director, we’ve seen both more suicides and more drug overdoses among the high school cohort than deaths from the coronavirus.
More and more evidence is coming out and showing what truly is harmful to young people:
Perspective: There are 10 Times as Many Alcohol-Related Deaths as Coronavirus Deaths in College-Age Kids in America
Suicide, alcohol, and drugs. Have you been reaching out to any young people with eternal truth lately? The disease is sin, and the cure is the cross of Jesus Christ. The time is now.
2 Corinthians 6:2
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
