Pay attention to the many distractions that come your way in life because they often act like rip currents that can pull you away from the purposes and mission of Christ. Stay alert and attentive while you keep fishing for the souls of men.
Here’s a letter from David, who continues to keep fishing for souls as his primary objective in life.
Hi,
Yes, it is hard to wake up a sleepy church, especially when they are so comfortable! This is why I am so grateful for this ministry God has raised up with Mark. It truly encourages me and my brothers and sisters throughout our great land, as a lot of the churches shun handing out tracts and street preaching. They are more apt to send their money to African and Chinese ministries but fail to support and thereby neglect the needs of our American communities, who, although they might not be struggling financially, are struggling ever so spiritually and are in need of a revival.
God bless you all in Jesus’ name, and never stop fighting the good fight and encouraging us out here! It can be pretty lonely and make you feel as Elijah felt when he said, “I alone am left,” and the LORD said, “I have reserved 6,000 who have not bowed the knee before Baal.”
David
Can the crowds of people around you dampen your zeal for the Lord? Of course, they can, but don’t let them. We are not called to just tread water by standing still in the Christian life; we should follow hard after Christ and finish the good work He’s given us all to do.
Until the nets are full,
P.S. We received this piece of feedback last week about our newsletter, Speculative Physics (https://markcahill.org/speculative-physics/), and we thought you might like to read it:
Hi, Mark!
Wow! And the cow jumped over the moon! I watched a little over half of that video. No offense to you if you have a college degree (my kids have many), but this guy is someone my dad would have called an “educated idiot.”
I’ve heard similar babbling from girls in jail coming down off of meth and wanting to join our Bible service. This guy is nuts. I didn’t know Satan was that “convincing.”
Even as a lost soul, I never believed evolution. I’ve been taught in public school so many contradictory statements concerning the origin of man and Earth that no matter what you put for an answer on the test, it wasn’t marked as wrong, unless you used biblical reasoning.
In 11th grade, I had an atheistic teacher named Mr. Shearer who hated God so much that he said on every test, the last question would be, “Are earth and humanity here by evolution or by a creator?” And if you didn’t pick evolution, he would mark it as wrong and lower your grade one level, like from a B to a C, etc. And that was in the 1960s.
Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. I’m done here. I’m ready.
Linda
