Eternity is rushing towards us.
You and everyone else must be ready.

Open Hearts

Sep 12, 2025

Are you reaching out to those who are in jail or prison? Helping out with programs at jails can be a great outreach effort for your church.

You can also send materials to prisoners from our website. We can usually get our soft-covered books to them with no problem.

Nile loves reaching prisoners for Jesus. Check out this letter we received from him and also the letter he received from Kyle:

Mark,

It is a joy to share with you some of the blessings God has bestowed upon me so that the gospel of Jesus Christ can continue to be declared in your sphere of influence! Also attached is a letter from one of the guys that I worked with in 2024 in the Payne County Jail. I gave him your book, One Heartbeat Away, and he asked me to get you this letter. May God continue to bless all that you do for Him.

Nile

Kyle knows his sins in life aren’t going to define him. He’s going to get his thinking in order, repent, and take steps to live a life that the Lord will be proud of.

Open hearts are everywhere—and I do mean everywhere! Please take the gospel everywhere in the days to come!

Matthew 25:35,36

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Until the nets are full,

P.S. GOD GIVE US MEN (Friday Church News Notes, September 5, 2025, www.wayoflife.org, [email protected], 866-295-4143) — It has been said that everything rises and falls on leadership, and this is difficult to gainsay. Where are those strong churches that lack strong, godly, biblical pastoral leadership? Scripture emphasizes this with not one but three lesson-packed epistles devoted to the training of pastors and preachers (1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus), plus Paul’s amazing message to the elders of Ephesus (Acts 20:17-35).

God give us men the time demands;
Strong minds, great hearts, true faith, willing hands;
Men whom the lust of office does not kill,
Men whom the spoils of office cannot buy,
Men who possess convictions and a will:
Men who have honor; men who will not lie.
Men who can stand before a demagogue,
And condemn his treacherous flatteries without winking:
Tall men, sun-crowned, who live above the fog,
In public duty and in private thinking.
For while the rabble with their thumb-worn creeds,
Their large profession and their little deeds,
Mingle in selfish strife, Lo! Freedom weeps,
Wrong rules the land, and waiting Justice sleeps.
